Requirement: Full roof overcladding and encapsulation, replace rooflights with new GRP rooflight system and gutter lining solution to resolve ongoing roof leaks without business disruption.
The Challenge
MacPac Ltd had been experiencing recurring problems with rainwater ingress, outdated roof vents, and failing gutters. Given the critical nature of their facility, which houses advanced technology and machinery, these issues needed urgent attention to ensure the continued safety and operational efficiency of the building.
VBS Ltd Solution
Following a detailed consultation with the company directors, VBS Ltd proposed a comprehensive solution. The plan involved removing all redundant roof ventilation, over-cladding the entire roof area, and incorporating 240mm insulation to improve thermal performance and make the roof both watertight and compliant with current standards. We also installed new glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) over specific roof areas and relined all existing valley and box gutters using a Plygene gutter lining system.
To ensure long-term durability and peace of mind, we provided MacPac Ltd with a 30-year guarantee on their newly upgraded roof system.
Full health & safety measures, including:-
- Safety netting supplied and installed to current regulations
- Full perimeter scaffolding
- On-site plant and machinery management
