Greenhalgh’s Craft Bakery is a long-established family Craft Bakery which was founded in 1957. Supplying high-quality bakery products to convenience stores, farm shops, to hotels, airlines and more nationwide.
To ensure their production facility remained safe, dry, and operational, the company approached VBS Ltd after experiencing persistent roofing issues affecting their building

The Challenge
Following a detailed roof inspection, several issues were identified that required immediate attention. The existing roof system had deteriorated over time, allowing water to penetrate the building
With an active production facility operating below, the client required a safe, cost-effective solution that would make the roof fully watertight

- Gutter Re-Lining: Existing gutters were refurbished using the Plygene gutter lining system, restoring effective water management and preventing leaks.
- Roof Over-Cladding: Installation of a full roof over-cladding system to give Greenhalghs a longer roof life
Full health & safety measures, including:-
- Safety netting supplied and installed to current regulations
- Full perimeter scaffolding
- On-site plant and machinery management
These precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the workforce throughout the project.

The Outcome
